This course covers application of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer in the design of thermal energy systems; topics include design and performance of power plants for the generation of electric power; fossil and nuclear fuels, cycle analysis, component design and performance, plant operation, control, economics and environmental impact.

Credits:

3 credit hours; This 15 week course requires students to spend approximately 8 hours a week on course work.
